Systems Quality Engineer – manual tester {nabídka práce}

This person will assume responsibility for performing SW Quality Engineering on the product solution
set, testing functionality of the  products in Hospitality industry (Aloha product). Will be directly
working with the team in Atlanta and will be supervised by Atlanta manager. This person should be able
to analyze issues, think about them, find the root of the problem, think how to fix it, and only after this
escalate the issue to the development team or other related parties. We are looking for mid-level
o Be an integral part of an Agile SCRUM team, participate in Release/Iteration planning, smoke, feature
and regression test planning/execution.
o Manage assigned tasks, tracking tasks to completion and reporting on risks to project
o timelines
o Review designs with developers and architects in consideration of testability and
o supportability
o Maintain an understanding of NCR product lines in order to assess impacts on the overall
o solution
o Set up test environments as required including POS hardware, windows networking and
o installing software applications
o Contribute to periodic status reports on testing activities (daily, weekly, monthly)
o Design, develop, and execute test plans and scripts for all components of a product to ensure the
delivery of quality software products that meet customer specifications
o Maximize automation: question & challenge manual processes and look for automation
o alternatives
o Leverage our test tools, Microsoft TFS (WIT, Team City), JIRA and other required
o applications
o Provide input to existing software development cycle to improve/refine its impacts to the
o product release
o Sustain knowledge of industry standards/methodologies in software quality assurance

Jazyky: English

o Experience working with ALOHA POS on Technical side – an advantage
o Hospitality or Retail POS industry knowledge – an advantage
o Strong Troubleshooting skills
o Demonstrated ability to master technical details of multiple complicated software solutions;
o Understanding technical and usability aspects as they related to quality and usability
o Experience with network management, computer hardware setup and software installations
o Self-directed individual who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Strong time management skills
o Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality
o Strong customer-centric attitude toward both external and internal customers

o Formal education level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
o Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related
field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;l Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
experience preferred, but not required
o Basic DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server including schema design, queries & basic
o administration
o 2 years’ experience in Software Quality role or equivalent
o 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance processes, procedures, and standards
Additional Job Description
Work on customer issues reported by customers or internal teams.
Analyze the problems and evaluate their merit against software design.
Work with partners to help them in correctly running the software.
Document common best practices, FAQs and problems.
Work with software developers to identify correct software design.
Test the product in labs when needed.
