Popis pracovní pozice

  • O/S management in the hosting environment including both routine updates and the planning / management of longer-term infrastructure upgrades
  • Software management (updates and configuration; scripting and automation) of a multi-tier live hosting infrastructure
  • Routine system administration tasks such as user and service management, permissions, log analysis and other relevant activities
  • Action and monitor of all incidents related to hosting in relation to compliance with processes and SLAs
  • Create and maintain standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. Perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the standards are being adhered to.
  • Provides technical support to application development teams using inhouse CRM.
  • Enforces and maintains database contraints to ensure integrity of the database.
  • Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
  • Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
  • Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.

Požadavky

Jazyky: English

  • A good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to carry out performance monitoring on both Oracle and operating systems
  • Experience with technical implementation and operation of enterprise class cloud-based systems
  • A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources.
  • A good knowledge of both database and program code performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (Microsoft SQL and Progress)
  • Knowledge of Application server(s) (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss) would be helpful
  • 5+ years experience
  • ITIL Certification helpful
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Willing to work in shifts including nights and weekends
